Tamara Robinson-Macleod Registered Psychologist

Tamara holds a Bachelor of Science (Psychology) obtained from Macquarie University and a Bachelor of Psychological Science (Honours) obtained from the Australian College of Professional Psychology. She completed her psychology registration with the College of Professional Psychology.

Tamara is a fully registered Psychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia and an approved provider of psychological services for Medicare. She is a member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS).

Tamara has practiced as a psychologist in a variety of settings including youth and adult mental health services in non government organisations as well as community and mental health services. She has experience working across the lifespan as well as with a diverse range of mental health presentations including anxiety, depression, family relational difficulties, trauma and school related concerns.

Tamara is an empathetic and compassionate psychologist who is really interested in understanding and exploring human behaviour. She enjoys working with clients across the lifespan but has a special interest in working with adolescents and young adults. She hopes to help you feel empowered, build hope, and create a sense of self worth. She strongly believes in building healthy and supportive therapeutic relationships. She recognises the privilege it is to hear other’s stories and walk with them on their journey. The aim of this journey is to assist clients to learn how to work through difficult emotions, thoughts and behaviours.

Tamara is committed to working collaboratively with each client to help them to better understand themselves and their own emotions, thoughts and behaviours. She uses a variety of evidence based strategies and interventions individually tailored to each client. She engages in continual research and professional development training to continue to broaden her knowledge and better understand and assist her clients.
