Kara Campbell Clinical Psychologist

Kara holds a Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Laws (honours), obtained from Monash University, Victoria, together with a Bachelor of Science (Psychology, honours) obtained from The University of Sydney and a Master of Clinical Psychology obtained at Western Sydney University.

Kara is a fully registered Psychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia and a member of both the Australian Psychological Society (APS) and Australian Clinical Psychology Association (ACPA).

Kara has experience working within a range of settings including within a university clinic, school psychology department and outpatient pain management centre.  As part of this experience, Kara has assisted children, adolescents, and adults with a wide range of challenges including depression, anxiety, school refusal, adjustment issues, chronic pain management, perfectionism, study and workplace stress, and the assessment and management of attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) to name a few.

Kara is passionate about helping people live their lives in the most fulfilling way possible and enjoys working with children, adolescents and adults. Areas of particular interest include supporting children and adolescents diagnosed with ADHD as well as their caregivers, as well helping adolescents and adults with grief, mood, anxiety, stress and adjustment difficulties. Kara believes in developing a warm and collaborative therapeutic relationships to help clients address their own personal goals.

Kara predominantly uses cognitive behaviour therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), and dialectical behaviour therapy (DBT).
