Katrina Dever Registered Psychologist

Katrina holds the qualifications of Certificate 4 in Community Services, Bachelor of Arts with a Major in Psychology, Postgraduate Diploma in Psychology, Postgraduate Diploma in Professional Psychology and Graduate Diploma of Relationship Counselling. Katrina is currently completing her Masters in Clinical Psychology.

Katrina is a registered psychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia and an approved provider of psychological services for Medicare. She is an associate member of Australian Psychological Society, and a member of the Australian New Zealand Academy for Eating Disorders.

Katrina has practiced as a psychologist in a variety of settings including psychiatric hospitals, not for profit community organisations, outpatient group treatment services, and within private practice. The diversity in her experience has well equipped her to be able to effectively deal with a range of issues including anxiety, depression, drug and alcohol issues, trauma, domestic violence and family violence and work related concerns such as career counselling and managing work stress.

Katrina is committed to providing current and effective treatment. Her therapeutic approach incorporates evidence based psychological therapies such as Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Mindfulness based approaches, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Interpersonal Therapy, and Systemic Couple and Family Therapy.

Katrina is a warm and empathic Psychologist. She takes a person-centered approach that is tailored to meet the needs of her clients.  Katrina places great importance on the therapeutic relationship with her clients which is reflected in her collaborative style.

Katrina has further specialist training and experience working with eating disorders and other food and body related concerns.
