Mirelle D’Mello Registered Psychologist

Mirelle holds the qualifications of a Bachelor of Science-Psychology, Postgraduate Diploma in Psychology, and a Master of Professional Psychology, all obtained from Macquarie University.

Mirelle is a fully registered psychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia and an approved provider of psychological services under Medicare.

Mirelle is experienced in working with specialist populations, in both research and clinical settings. She has worked in early-onset dementia clinics where she administered neuropsychological assessments to individuals with cognitive difficulties. She has experience with the full range of neurocognitive disorders including but not limited to early-onset Alzheimer’s disease, Frontotemporal Dementia, and Primary Progressive Aphasias. Mirelle is also equipped to provide intervention to individuals with all types of problem gambling (electronic gaming machines, internet gambling, sports betting, and casino gambling), and related difficulties with addiction, anxiety, and depression.

Mirelle has a particular interest in the assessment and provision of psychological interventions to individuals who experience difficulties related to memory, attention, planning and other cognitive abilities. In addition to her interest in brain health, Mirelle is also experienced in working with people who have addiction problems, and related mental health issues such as anxiety and depression. She is particularly interested in providing support and intervention to people with problem gambling.

Mirelle aims to help and provide support to individuals through difficult times in their lives. She draws on her research experience to support her understanding of client presentations, and endeavours to help people improve their functioning by teaching them evidence based skills and strategies.
