Grief is experienced whenever we perceive a loss in our life. It may result from loss of family, friends, jobs, pets and loss of our expectations.
Each person experiences grief in their own way and often men or women grieve in very different ways.
Grief is a normal, healthy response to loss. However, our grieving can becoming extended or pathological if our grieving process is interrupted in some manner. For example, if we get very busy and prevent ourselves from thinking about our loss.
